Frequently Asked Question

Who are you?

We are AFA, the American Foreclosure Association, a nonprofit organization that helps homeowners stop a pending auction sale date and ultimately keep, sell, or donate their property to permanently resolve the debt. We are NOT licensed real estate agents or a brokerage trying to list or buy your home. We are also NOT a Lender of any sort.

How can you actually help me?

Great question. We first help stop any pending foreclosure sale date if you currently have one scheduled. Then, we help you keep, sell or donate the property to resolve the debt permanently  depending on your specific situation.

How much do you charge?

There is no fee or charge for any programs or services we directly provide as we are a nonprofit agency. The only time you incur cost are for any third party services you may choose to initiate at any time.

How long does this take?

On average, it can take anywhere from 3 days to 3 months from start to finish of the process, depending on your specific scenario.

Does this require credit to qualify?

No. Your credit is generally not a factor in determining your eligibility or granting application approval. It is based off several other factors.
