Empowering Homeowners Since 2016

WHO WE ARE

American Foreclosure Association (AFA) is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to providing vital mortgage assistance and foreclosure prevention services to individuals, families, and business owners. Since 2016, we have helped homeowners regain stability and peace of mind during challenging times, serving communities across California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and Florida.

Our mission is simple yet impactful: to offer comprehensive support to homeowners—whether pro se litigants navigating complex legal processes, families striving to keep their homes, or corporate property owners seeking solutions. We believe that everyone deserves access to resources that empower them to overcome financial hardships and secure their housing future.

What We Do

We assist homeowners facing foreclosure by helping them resolve mortgage issues based on their intent to keep, sell, or donate their residential or commercial property, or vacant land.

We can help any time BEFORE a foreclosure happens. We can help up to the date of and (02) hours before the auction start time of a scheduled foreclosure auction sale in any of the states we service.

How We Operate

We are a mission-driven, needs-based nonprofit organization operating exclusively for charitable purposes. As a non-governmental, public benefit organization, we are committed to helping homeowners navigate foreclosure prevention without functioning as licensed real estate agents, brokers, or mortgage lenders.

Here’s how we work to serve you

We meet with you by phone to understand your situation, assess your needs, and determine how we can help.

We conduct a detailed review of your mortgage or HOA account to verify eligibility and identify potential solutions.

Based on our findings, we create a personalized plan to address your unique challenges and goals.

You are assigned a dedicated team, including a Loss Mitigation Assistant, Case Manager, and third-party Processor, to guide you through every step.

Our team manages all necessary paperwork and we utilize a third-party transaction management service on your behalf to ensure a smooth process with a single point-of-contact and additional administrative support staff to enhance your client experience with added efficiency.

Please note, we are unable to assist with properties that have already been foreclosed (REO) unless we were involved in the case prior to foreclosure. Our comprehensive approach is designed to provide the support and expertise you need to secure your home and future.

Our Vision

As a nonprofit organization, our vision is to create a future where financial hardships no longer result in the loss of a home. By fostering stability and resilience, we aim to empower homeowners to overcome challenges and make informed decisions about their housing needs and advocate to ensure their voices are heard.
